Volunteering in Germany (Cycle 2024/2025) – Overview

  • Starting point: March or September 2025
  • Places offered for this cycle:
    * Different cities all over Germany
    * Jewish and non-Jewish institutions: Kindergardens, schools, educational centers, elder peoples’ homes, youth centers (Exact details will be provided after application)
  • between a minimum of 6 – to a maximum of 18 months of voluntary service
  • Preparatory seminar at beginning of service and reflexion seminary at the end

Volunteers will be provided with:

  • Monthly pocket money
  • Full coverage of health insurance
  • Full accommodation (Shared flats or private rooms within institution, dependent on placement)
  • Full board (in form of meals or supplementary pocket money, dependent on placement)
  • Mentoring and seminars
  • Language course
  • Self-planned events
  • Public transport
  • Addition for kosher food

Volunteers must pay the following expenses by themselves:

  • Travel costs of flights to and back from Germany
  • Visa related costs

Online interviews will be individually scheduled after submission of application

If participation is confirmed, the following documents will be required

  • Health record filled in by doctor
  • Translated police clearance
  • Documents for visa to Germany (further information will be provided only after confirmation)

PLEASE NOTE THAT FLIGHTS SHOULD ONLY BE PURCHASED AFTER CONFIRMATION OF THE PROGRAM COORDINATOR AND COMPLETE VISA DOCUMENTS!

Our application process is competitive. Thus please keep in mind that confirmation of participaten can only be given after a complete application is sent in and a formal interview has taken place.
