About Us
The German-Israeli Volunteer Service gives young citizens from Israel and Germany from the age of 18 the opportunity to explore the respective other country through a 6 – 18 month volunteer service.
In Germany, young Israelis of all faiths and ethnic backgrounds can volunteer in institutions in the field of social care, education, and Jewish communities.
The volunteers engage fulltime (38-40 hrs/week) in their placements. Lodging, board, health insurance, and a small pocket money will be granted to the volunteers for the time of their service. They can thereby strengthen the ties between both societies.
The volunteering service always starts either in Early Spring or Autumn.
